How to extend battery life on Android (Samsung Galaxy)
Solution #1
- Turn off Data Sync, if you have more than 10 apps that require Data Sync automatically (apps like : Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, and any other apps that gives pop ups, remainders, or notifications) then you might want to consider Data Syncing them manually, that is very much can extend the battery life. And yes, if you do this manually you won't get real-time notifications if your crush made a tweet (Settings » Accounts and sync)
- Turn off WiFi if you frequently access the Internet, however if you are using the Internet everytime consider using WiFi, it saves more battery rather than using data service like 3G (Settings » Wireless and network).
- Lowering the screen brightness
- Turn off GPS
- Turn off Bluetooth
- Clear RAM when you think the phone will be idle (this will clear/close all running apps, so make sure you save everything)
- Adjust Screen Time-out, less than 1 minute should be good (Settings » Display » Screen time-out)
- Don't use live wallpaper
- if you're on poor signal or no signal area, better turn off your phone because phones always work harder to find good signal, means more battery power.
- If you don't need motion activation, you can turn it off (Settings » Motion)
- Turn off Wake up command (Voice command » Settings » Voice talk settings).
- This is the best and the last thing you should do if you had below 5% of battery life. Use airplane mode (do this you won't get phone calls, texts, or anything, it's just become a huge expesive watch, but it saves your battery).
